Part Number: USC-IFD-00512

Part Description:

The Portable Intermittent Fault Detector™ (PIFD™) product family is an advanced prognostic and diagnostic tool that is purpose built to supplement traditional test equipment and address the decades old issue of intermittent failures.  The patented Intermittent Fault Detector™ (IFD™) technology, by Universal Synaptics Corporation, can simultaneously and continuously monitor every circuit path with a Unit Under Test (UUT) for intermittent failures as short as 50 nanoseconds.  This state-of-the-art technology is tightly packaged in a ruggedized, environmentally sealed, single person carry case.  EMI properties and user safety are the basis for every design element.  To ensure a complete assessment of a UUT’s wiring integrity, the IFD also has the capability to perform other traditional hard failure tests.  Never has there been a more comprehensive and advanced wiring prognostic and diagnostic solution.

Standard configuration of this operations-level member of the IFD product family is 512 test points.  Configurations in fewer test points are available.  Refer to the Related Part Numbers specification below.
