Part Number: USC-ITA-CUSTOM

Part Description:

Interface Test Adapters (ITA) are designed and manufactured by Universal Synaptics to allow any Unit Under Test (UUT) to be tested with the Intermittent Fault Detector™ (IFD™). UUT examples include Electronic Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS), wiring harnesses, or components such as aircraft Line Replaceable Units (LRU) / Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRA). The primary purpose of an ITA is to electrically connect to test points of the IFD to each electrical contact of the UUT, allowing the IFD AutoMap™ to discover the as‐wired configuration of any version of the unit with the same connections, validate expected wiring, check for unexpected connections, and then monitor the UUT for intermittent events during the testing period.

The ITA manufacturing process allows for easy management of the ITA for use and storage. The IFD interface test adapter and UUT connections will be clearly labeled for proper connection to the IFD and the UUT, respectively.

Deliverables include the physical ITA, data package, Fault Isolation Graphic, User Guide, and Maintenance Parts List. In addition, ITA configuration information will be added to the customer’s IFD as part of the delivery.
