Universal Synaptics Corporation Announces Top Executive Appointment
Ogden, Utah. January 2, 2009 – Universal Synaptics Corp. announced today that it has appointed W. David Chambers President and CEO. Universal Synaptics, a pioneer and market leader in aging aircraft, intermittent / No Fault Found (NFF) electronics testing, research and development and manufacturing sought a proven business leader to navigate the rapidly expanding business opportunities in the United States, Asia and Europe.
Mr. Chambers recently served 10 years as President and CEO of the Grand Canyon Railway in Flagstaff, Arizona. Prior to joining the Railway, Mr. Chambers served 10 years as President and CEO of Babbitt Brothers Trading Company also of Flagstaff, Arizona. Previous to moving his family to Arizona, Mr. Chambers served as Vice President and CFO of Anderson Lumber Company in Ogden, Utah and Financial Manager for Browning Arms in Morgan, Utah.
Mr. Chambers is a graduate of Weber State University and has been instrumental in community organizations. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, and as a Director of the Arizona Governor’s Tourism Advisory Council, and Arizona Bioscience Roadmap Steering Committee, as Vice Chairman of the Greater Flagstaff Economic Council and as Chairman of the Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce.
Universal Synaptics develops and manufactures unique electronics test equipment, and is demonstrating great successes in detecting "previously undetectable" intermittent / No Fault Found (NFF) circuitry problems in aging aircraft and other high-value electronics. These types of aging defects account for roughly 50% of all electronic failures throughout the world, and thus the opportunities are enormous.
