FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Universal Synaptics will present
Intermittent Fault Detection & Isolation System (IFDIS™)
briefing at the CTMA Symposium
Ogden, Utah. March 2011 – Universal Synaptics Corp. announces that the Intermittent Fault Detection & Isolation System (IFDIS) briefing will be presented at the Commercial Technologies for Maintenance Activities (CTMA) Symposium held at the Marine Corp Logistics Base in Quantico, Virginia, April 2011. Under CTMA the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) forms collaborative partnerships between the Department of Defense (DoD) and private industry to enhance the readiness of our warfighters by providing new and innovative maintenance solutions and research on existing or legacy weapon platforms.
Universal Synaptics Corp. is the industry leader in detecting and isolating intermittent / No Fault Found (NFF) which is a leading contributor to low reliability, maintainability and readiness in aircraft wiring and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). Approximately 40% to 60% of all pilot reported system malfunctions go undetected in follow on ground testing in large part due to conventional automated test equipment serial scanning and digital testing limitations.
“We are very pleased to receive an invitation to brief IFDIS and attend this years CTMA Symposium in Quantico” said Ken Anderson, Universal Synaptics Corp., Vice President of Sales & Business Development “our advanced testing technology, specifically designed to detect and isolate intermittent faults and reduce NFF in aircraft wiring and LRUs is a perfect fit for the CTMA Symposium delegates. The IFDIS meets the current DoD needs and initiatives that ensures American troops and their equipment are ready to face any situation, with the most up-to-date and best-maintained platforms and tools on earth”.
Since 1996, Universal Synaptics Corporation, based in Ogden, UT., has been an industry leader in detecting and isolating elusive intermittent faults, and spent years in the "trenches" researching and solving complex diagnostic and testing problems. Their research into the primary root causes of intermittent / No Fault Found (NFF) problems and the massive digital testing void that exists today with conventional scanning test equipment, led to the development of the patented Intermittent Fault Detector (IFD™), hardware neural network and all-lines-all-the-time wiring / circuit analyzer test solutions.
